Thanks Jim Calhoun of the UCONN Huskies!

We’d like to send a big thank you to Jim Calhoun, the men’s basketball coach at the University of Connecticut, whose team plays for the national championship tonight. We are so thankful for his dedication to increasing autism awareness and his support for Autism Speaks.  And just to show we don’t play favorites, if Butler University coach Brad Stevens wants to get involved, we’d be happy to send him a puzzle piece pin for his lapel.

College students, faculty, and alumni can get involved with our college initiative, Autism Speaks U. This program is designed for college students who host awareness, advocacy, and fundraising events, while supporting their local autism communities.

Thank you ,Jim, for standing up for our kids. My granddaughter is autistic. Yes, I am very proud of her. I was a Butler fan, but am now glad you won the championship game. You are a champion in the eyes of many people, not because of the basketball game, but because you are speaking for our children who find it so difficult to speak. Thank you and God bless.
